After connecting the Billx Plugin to your Reckon company file, you should configured the Live Update Settings.


The Billx Plugin has the ability to automatically download and install updates to ensure that you are running the latest version of our software. You can configure the Billx Plugin for updates by right clicking on the Billx icon in the system tray and selecting Live Update Settings. The screen below is displayed.



You have three options:

  • Notify only will cause the Billx Plugin to notify you when an update is available. At this point, you can choose to download and install the update or to update at a later time. 
  • Download only will automatically download the updated version. Once the download is complete, you will be prompted to install the file.
  • Download & Install will automatically download and install all updates as they are released.


Regardless of the level of automation that you choose, when it comes time to install the updates, the Billx Plugin service on your machine will be suspended temporarily. Once the updates have been successfully installed, the Billx Plugin will be re-launched.


Now it is time to run a Health Check Report on your accounting file.
