Once you have saved the Billx Plugin settings, you will need to add a new business to the Plugin to connect to your Reckon Company file. 


Once you have the Billx Plugin application open, click on the Add New Business link in the Business Info tab.

 

The Business Info window appears. Follow the steps below to configure the Billx Plugin to connect to your Reckon company file.




Before continuing please make sure the Reckon Accounts application is not running.


1. Select Reckon Accounts - Desktop from the Accounting Package drop down list.

2. Copy and paste the Plugin User ID from the Billx website.

3. Copy and paste the Plugin Password from the Billx website.

4. Select the first month of your financial year in the Financial Year Settings.

5. Select the starting date you want to synchronise invoices from. All unpaid invoices from this date forward will be included in your initial synchronise and sent to your Customers.

6. Click on the Browse icon.

Navigate to the folder where your Reckon Account company data file is located. Select the file and click on Open.

7. Now leave the Billx Plugin window open and open your company through Reckon Accounts using either the Administrator user or a user with Administrative rights.

8. Now return to the Billx Plugin window and click on the Test Connection button.

9. Switch back to Reckon Accounts. A security dialog will be displayed requesting the user grant access to the Billx Plugin for your Company file. The Application Certificate dialog will look similar to the screen below.



10. Click on the radio button Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running. From the Login as drop down please select the user you want the Billx Plugin to use.

11. Click on the Continue button to save the settings.

12. Now return to the Billx Plugin window. Click on the Save button.


Now you are ready to configure the Billx Plugin Live Update.
