-
Right click on the Billx icon in the System Tray.
-
Select Configuration Settings.
-
Select the Plugin Settings tab. The window below will be displayed.
-
Sync Type: You have two options for synchronising your invoices: Manual or Auto (automatic).
If you select Manual synchronising then you will need to periodically initiate a synchronisation for your invoices to be exported to your customers and imported from your suppliers. -
Invoice Type refers to the type of transactions you want to pass through Billx.
Tick the Receivables box if you wish to export your Sales Invoices to your Customers via Billx. - Customer Type: If your chosen software vendor allows you to categorise your Customers as either Company, Sole Trader or Individual types, you can configure Billx to synchronise invoices for one or all of the types.
If you select Auto, the Billx Plugin will handle exporting and importing your invoices automatically. When Auto is selected, another field appears, Sync Interval. The Sync Interval determines how regularly the Billx Plugin will synchronise. Select the interval that suits your business.
Note: We recommend that you use the Auto Sync every 4 hours.
Tick the Payables box if you wish import your Purchase Invoices from your Suppliers via Billx.
If both invoice types are unticked then you will be able to view incoming transactions via Billx but there will be no integration with your accounting package.
Note: As Billx is a Business to Business solution we recommend that you select the Company and Sole Trader types only.
When you have finished making your choices for each of the fields above, click on Save to commit your settings.
Now that you have completed the setup of the operational settings, you can move on to connecting the Billx Plugin to your MYOB company file.
